After I had my first child, I went from a size 14/16 to a size 18/20 and realized the fashion world pretty much stopped after you went past a 16. And the majority of boutiques I could find with plus size, did it as an afterthought, with one tiny rack tucked in the back corner, or one 6 item collection on their website. I was tired of people being unwilling to talk about their bodies and create an environment where, as we say, “If being fat is the worst someone can say about you, you’re doing a damn good job”.  Now I feel like I’m showing my boys that now only can you follow your dreams and heart, but you can take what someone might say is your downfall and create something amazing out of it!

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
My fiancee Josh and I have been together 10 years, our wedding was cancelled during May 2020 in COVID. So we are replanning! We have 3 boys: Luca is 8, Layton is 4, Marshal is 1 and also my amazing mom, grandma Vicki, lives with us too!

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I love that women who come in contact with me and with Stacked leave feeling better about themselves, loving themselves just a little more than they did before!

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
Northern taphouse! My boys love their giant cheese curds and I am so grateful they have meat free options [I’m vegetarian].

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I grew up in Lakeville, and currently live in Elko. Our store warehouse has been in Lakeville since December 2020.

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
Probably my best friends Kelly and Janeah, who are the best part of going to school in Lakeville, that I’ve been blessed to keep with me into adulthood!

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Gosh, anywhere that actually feels like spring! Honestly though, a kid free week by a pool with a good book and full night’s of sleep sounds a little glorious 😂😉

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
I nerd out over home-reno shows because my fiancée is a contractor. I also am a total feel for the profit, shark tank and small business revolution.

Q: What advice would you give to people?
Not everything happens for a reason. Not everything has an explanation. Not everything has a lesson to learn worth the pain it causes. But accepting you may always have questions that go unanswered, and thoughts of why, but continue to grow and move and learn, you’ll make it through.

Q: What is your go to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?
80s power ballads; Queen, Bon Jovi, Journey… So good!

Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
I know it’s not Lakeville, but we always went to the TGI Fridays at the Burnsville Mall in school, even before getting our drivers licenses.

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
Marcus Lemonis from The Profit. His business sense is so no-bull and I’m would love to pick his brain. Probably a coffee shop so I didn’t spill lunch on me 😂😂

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
It still feels somehow small and connected even with massive growth.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
I’d be trying to figure out what to do with 3 boys that will be 15, 11 and 8! Oh boy. Hopefully still running my business and teaching my boys how to be a part of it all!

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I have a photographic memory for things I’ve written down. I could rewrite all my notes in HS and college and if I wrote them a couple times I can close my eyes and see the whole page again.

Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
My grandparents farm in Montevideo MN that my grandpa called Paradise Acres, my dad lives there now and it’s my favorite place in the world.

Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
Probably my kids birthdays and Christmas because they have so much joy.

Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
Dresses and leggings with pockets!

Q: Who inspires you to be better?
My parents for always loving and supporting me, but also holding me to my potential. Myself, for knowing I want to do and learn enough to be able to teach my kids amazing lessons

Q: What is one or two of your favorite smells?
Sweet smells, cookies, vanilla etc. Spring rain. But NOT flowers- worst allergies ever!

Q: Finally, what 3 words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?
The place you take your bra off 😂😂
