I am the V.P./General Manager of Accelerated Recovery and Performance, also known as ARPwave. ARPwave has pioneered a patented and proprietary treatment system that, on average, yields a 20-50% faster recovery from injury and surgery. My journey with ARPwave began when I was young, I grew up with an active family/lifestyle and parents that are interested in human performance, cutting-edge training techniques, and processes. Through my parents knowledge, my mother began a skincare company, and my father founded ARPwave in 2003. I joined the team in 2004 and have been building the brand with my father since. To date, ARPwave has assisted over 500,000 patients and partnered with 300+ medical practices worldwide.

ARPwave has a motto of, “Being able to do what you want to do when you want to and do it…”. We as people shouldn’t have to think about what pain will follow an activity or if you can perform an activity or worry without consequences.
1: Did you know that 20-40% of US adults have pain?
2: Do you remember when you had a left and right knee and not a good and bad knee?

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
We are an active family; we enjoy the outdoors, traveling, and lake life. My wife, Amanda, enjoys lake activities in the summer, my son, Rhone, is currently a senior at Lakeville South and participates in the track and field and football programs, and my daughter Chloe, enjoys hiking, swimming, and gymnastics. Our schedule is busy, but we all enjoy cheering each other on when we can.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
The opportunity to be a part of ARPwave has been a blessing for me because I enjoy meeting, helping, and networking with people. This business has allowed me to help establish and achieve health goals, lifestyle changes and help clients live and move freely without pain.

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
I know it says your “Favorite,” but I’m going to list my three favorites:

  1.  The Charthouse – Love the patio in the summer.
  2.  Barley and Vine – Great Food and Drinks *Also owned by a fellow Lakeville Grad!
  3.  The Red Fox – Been a staple for my family and friends as a snowmobiling stop.

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I have lived in Lakeville for close to 35 years. Throughout those years, I have moved back and forth but always seem to return. I travel quite a bit through work, and it’s always nice to return to a familiar place.

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
I have had the opportunity to meet, greet, and collaborate with many business owners around Lakeville; each has their own story, and each is interesting in their own way.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Anywhere in the world!?!? Off the hip, I would be inclined to say somewhere in the Caribbean. But since we are talking “anywhere,” I’m going to pick a place that not many people, if any, will have the opportunity to see; The top of Mount Everest, The bottom of the ocean, or the center of the earth…. There is something powerful and humbling about being in a place that makes you realize just how small we are as humans, but even more so, how small and minor many of our problems really are…

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
I’m a movie guy…. Growing up, we worked for a good friend’s dad; he would buy out movie stores that were closing the doors and then liquidate the inventory; our job was to pack the movies up, set up the sale, and help customers. We watched so many movies, and between us all, we could tell you just about everything about every movie on the rack. As far as a favorite, I can’t pick one, so how about a favorite genre; I enjoy horror, kung-fu, and documentaries.

Q: What advice would you give to people?
When life gets difficult, never give up because there is always hope.

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
I want to participate in and/or eventually head a 4th of July firework display…

Q: What is your go to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?
Aerosmith has a song for everything. 😊

Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
The Friendly Host Inn… There weren’t the big indoor waterparks back in the day, so, as a child, I would have birthday parties at their pool. Friends, Presents, Swimming, Pizza, Arcade, and Shuffle Board; was always a blast.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
I enjoy Lakeville Pan-O-Prog; the summertime weather, great events, and the sense of community.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
In 5-10 years from now, I want to be able to look back at the journey; I want to be able to say that I did my best, I made the world a better place, and think, “What a ride, let’s keep it going”.

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I have a pretty large collection of nutcrackers, and I’m always looking to add more.

Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
Papua New Guinea – At the time, we were part of a group named MIA Hunters, which focused on locating Missing in Action soldiers from WW2. We were able to locate and identify a handful of individual plane crash and mass burial sites, giving families closure. We needed to visit small remote villages, hike through untouched jungles, dive pristine reefs, and live a natural lifestyle truly based “off the land” to find these sites. I love technology, but it was a great experience to unplug and live off and enjoy nature.

Q: What’s your favorite month?  Favorite holiday?  And best single day of each year?
My favorite month is August – I love the weather and events.  My favorite holiday is July 4th – enjoying lake life, parades, BBQ’ing, and fireworks.  And my favorite single day is December 24th – the family is all together sharing laughs and just taking it easy.

Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
Swimming in the rain.

Q: Who inspires you to be better?
Everybody! I try not to let a day go by without meeting somebody new or learning/experiencing something new.

Q: What is one or two of your favorite smells?
Fresh Air…

Q: Finally, what 3 words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?
Comfort, Support, Love
